About Moody Early Childhood Center

Why They’re Great

High-qualtiy Care: All PK teachers must meet state requirements, and infant and toddler teachers must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher level of training.

2Gen Community Approach: MECC offers CDA and GED classes along with a parenting, financial literacy, nutrition and health, developmental for our staff, families, and the community. They also have a therapy room with certified staff for children who need individual training such as speech therapy.

Early Start Matters: Evidence shows that students who start at Moody through the infant/toddler program fare better than students who begin in prek-3.

Moody Early Childhood Center (MECC) services youth ages infant through PK-4. They serve all of the district’s PK-3 students and some district PK-4 students, who started attending the center through the infant/ toddler program, at a single site. The purpose of the partnership is to show how early access makes a difference.
